His music journey began when he was just 12 years old. At that age, most kids are still figuring themselves out — but Traveon had already found a voice. Inspired by Ice Cube and Mobb Deep, he was drawn to raw storytelling, sharp lyricism, and unapologetic truth. The way those artists painted vivid pictures of their environments resonated deeply with him. Their music wasn’t fantasy — it was testimony. And that’s the lane he gravitated toward.
As he developed his sound, his influences expanded. Wu-Tang Clan’s gritty lyricism, Nas’ poetic storytelling, Nipsey Hussle’s entrepreneurial mindset, and Ghostface Killah’s authenticity all played roles in shaping his artistry. These weren’t just artists to him — they were blueprints. They showed him that real rap still mattered. That substance could coexist with success. That you could represent your roots and still elevate.
